OFFICERS

The officers of the Society are:

  1. President;
  2. Vice-President;
  3. Secretary; and,
  4. Treasurer.

A person may hold more than one officership at a time, provided that the offices of President and Secretary may not be held by the same person at the same time.  However, a person may not hold both an officership and an at-large or appointed directorship concurrently.  This does not affect any provisions which may provide that certain officers, by virtue of their officership, shall also serve on the Board of Directors.

The President and Vice-President must be Barrister Class members in good standing of the Society.

Officers, other than the President and Vice-President, must be either Barrister Class or Ad Litem Class members in good standing of the Society.

The President is elected by the membership to serve a three year term.  All other officers are appointed by the Board of Directors to serve a one year term each.
